Perched high above the coastline, Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia and the only independently operated lighthouse in the UK. The distinctive red and white stripes have become a symbol of Norfolk's rugged east coast.

The village itself remains wonderfully quiet, with a beautiful beach, coastal walks and far fewer visitors than many of Norfolk's better-known seaside destinations.
